How to install the website template
Download the files
- After you purchase the template from our website, log in to your account on our website by clicking on My Account up in the black up at the top of the page, using the username and password you used during checkout.
Once logged into your account, you will be redirected to your My Account page. - Go to the Available Downloads on this page and click on the website template you have just downloaded.
Once complete, you will have successfully downloaded the .zip file that contains the template to your computer.
- All website templates downloaded from our website will be in a .zip and you will need to first extract this. Here are some guides to do this if you need help. Proceed to the next steps once you have extracted the file and see files similar to the ones below (they may vary depending on the template you purchase).
Install the child theme
IMPORTANT! Please ensure you have the Beaver Builder parent theme installed as you will be installing a Child Theme of the Beaver Builder parent theme and this process will not work unless the parent theme is present in WordPress.
- Firstly, install the Child Theme by logging-in to your WordPress Dashboard and going to Appearance > Themes in the left-hand main menu.
- Then, click on Add New.
- Click on Upload Theme.
- When you extracted your .zip in the first part of this tutorial, you were presented with multiple files. Select the .zip file, usually ending in the name -child-theme.zip, and upload this file.
- Then click to Activate the Child Theme you have just uploaded and you're new Child Theme is successfully installed.
Install the BeaverBoost Plugin
Contained in the .zip you will receive when you purchase the FemiBlogger Child Theme is the Beaver BOOST plugin, our very own plugin which contains the custom modules we use in our Theme.
Login to your WordPress dashboard and navigate to Plugins > Install and upload the beaver-boost.zip file like a normal plugin.
Once activated, you will now see the new modules when editing pages in Beaver Builder, as shown below.
Download the WordPress Importer
- First, we install the WordPress importer from here or install it by logging into your site and going to Plugins > Add New and searching for it.
- To install the importer by uploading the file you've downloaded from the WordPress repository, go to Plugins > Add New from the WordPress Dashboard.
- Click on Upload Plugin up the top.
- Click Choose File and upload the .zip file that contains the WordPress Importer that you downloaded in Step 1 of this Step. Then click the Install Now button.
- Then, Activate the plugin and you have successfully installed the Importer.
Import the website template Dummy Data (required)
IMPORTANT! The template data you are about to import can contain posts, pages, Beaver Builder template files and media. All of this is included so that after this process your website looks exactly the same to the Preview of the template you have bought. You can quickly delete any content you do not need very easily through WordPress as there will not be too much content to delete.
- Go to Tools > Import from within your WordPress Dashboard.
- Click on WordPress.
- Then click on Choose File and select the .xml file.
Then, click Upload file and import. - Select your Admin user from the drop down, CHECK "Download and import file attachments" and then click the Submit button.
- Once done, you have successfully imported the data for the website template and you will see a screen similar to the one below.
Import the Customizer settings
- Go to Appearance > Customize in the left hand menu of your WordPress Dashboard.
- Click on Export/Import in the left hand menu.
- Then click Install & Activate.
- Click to Activate Plugin.
- Go back to the Theme Customizer.
- Click on Export/Import in the left hand menu.
- You will now have the ability to import the Customizer Settings file you received in your download. To do this, click Choose File, select the .dat file that you got from the .zip you extracted. IMPORTANT: Check the "Download and import image files?" Checkbox. Then, click the Import button.

Exit the Customizer by clicking the big X in the top left hand corner.
